Modern Tasmanian Winemaking

Sandy Bay Estate wines reflect the pristine, cool climate varieties best suited to Tasmania.

The island state located off the south coast of Australia has become known as a premium cool climate winegrowing region, providing an ideal climate for Riesling, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir vines to thrive. Cooler temperatures and an abundance of sunshine allow for rich fruit flavours to develop alongside elegant natural acidity – hallmarks of high-quality cool climate wines.

2022 Riesling

The Sandy Bay Estate Riesling is a dry, zippy example, bursting with lemon curd, red apples, a refreshing lime acidity and elegant florals. This wine is the definition of pristine, cool-climate fruit from Tasmania and made to be enjoyed with food.

2022 Pinot Noir

A charming expression of Pinot Noir with floral, savoury and spice aromatics. The wine unfolds to reveal a rich, dark-fruited palate with layers of black cherry and a subtle hint of herbal spice. Well structured, with fine tannins and a juicy natural acidity.

2022 Chardonnay

An elegant, cool climate style of Chardonnay with vibrant citrus, melon and ripe stone fruit flavours. The palate is complex and rich, complemented by an elegant minerality and a fine acidity. Oak ageing brings complexity, structure and body to the mouthfeel.
